In fact:
EV_ADD Adds the event to the kqueue. Re-adding an existing event
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
will modify the parameters of the original event, and not
result in a duplicate entry.

As far as I can tell, this isn't actually true.
