Bug ID: 196905 Summary: syslogd does not reread timezone when processing SIGHUP Product: Base System Version: 11.0-CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: l...@pix.net Created attachment 151862 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=151862&action=edit Make syslogd reread timezone data when reconfiguring syslogd, when given a SIGHUP, rereads its configuration file. In addition to this, it re-reads the machine's hostname, so that changes to the hostname will be reflected after the reading of the configuration file. In a similar manner, it would be handy to have syslogd re-read its timezone data when it re-reads the configuration file. While one can always kill and restart syslogd, it is superior to have it just re-read the timezone data. I've implemented this behavior, a patch should be attached to this bug report. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ freebsd-bugs@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-bugs To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-bugs-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
