        freebsd-update and portsnap don't work (fail to download necessary 
files) when the HTTP_PROXY environment variable  contains the "user:password@" 
syntax.
>How-To-Repeat:
        setenv HTTP_PROXY http://user:passw...@your.proxy.com:3128
        freebsd-update fetch
        portsnap fetch
        Both will fail eventually with the "snapshot is corrupt" message.
>Fix:
        Workaround: use direct connection to the Internet or an HTTP proxy 
without authentication.
