The device is identified by if_re driver, device re0 created, but it doesn't work. Reports "no link" when in fact there is active DHCP connection.
There is also RT8139 PCI NIC installed, but if_rl driver works fine for this NIC. The problem only exists in FreeBSD. Under Solaris/Linux/Windows/DragonflyBSD both devices work fine at the same time. >How-To-Repeat: Perhaps use ASUS P5B motherboard and try a FreeBSD-based system; in Debian kFreeBSD the problem exists as well. >Fix: Couldn't fix this driver, used a downloaded driver called "rtl_bsd_drv_v179", which seems to be a modified version of the original, modified by RealTek according to the info in the source file. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: _______________________________________________ freebsd-bugs@freebsd.org mailing list http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-bugs To unsubscribe, send any mail to "freebsd-bugs-unsubscr...@freebsd.org"
