As my FPC use is currently only hobby I don't care as much. But to be fair when I coded my little learning 3D OpenGL engine 15+ years ago with FPC, I was able to reach nearly the peak performance triangle throughput of my card so it was fast enough and nowadays even more calculations be can moved to the GPU. And without joking you can do games in Python just fine if you use your GPU. You can do great stuff in the browser as well with WebGL and JS is clearly not faster than FPC.
