Normally it requires you to edit 2 lines:
change preamble.report to use a5paper.
in fpc.sty, comment out the RequirePackage{a4} statement
That's it. I just tried, works fine.
You may need to edit the margins to use more of the page, as the margins are fo A4 paper.
