It's open source, and originally started in Europe, so the USA copyright probably doesn't apply. But I'm no lawyer. As for the FPC/Lazarus course. You might find this link interesting. http://www.clubengineer.org/ It was started by Peter Hinrichsen - a very talented Delphi developer. It contains courseware for kids to get into programming. It starts by using some visual programming tool (written in Perl or Ruby I think). Then once they grasp the concept of programming, he moves them on towards Pascal (using FPC and Lazarus). To make things interesting they also use Lego Mindstorm to capture the imagination of the kids, and enhance there problem solving skills. All the courseware is freely available on the website as far as I know. They also have a monthly newsletter you can subscribe to, to get the latest news and info.
