Are they? Anyway - as far as I can see, the usual solution appearing with other programs on MS Windows is either defaulting new version to the directory used for the previous one and/or suggestion that you should uninstall the previous version before installing the new version and that you're on your own otherwise. ;-) I guess that we can go beyond this by adding a more specific note about possibly necessary manual editing of the PATH variable if people decide to upgrade while keeping the previous version to the readme and FAQ...
