Yes, you may have built the rpms on the platform, but where was the ultimate destination for the executables
after you RAN the RPM to install the program?

It seems that Fedora 18 unified /bin -> /usr->bin using symbolic links and so the compiler is not ready to run
on a system where it installs the binaries to /usr/bin.

So what I am saying for the lazarus/freepascal binary package installers is that they need to consider having some option of changing where the installed binaries go that is different than /usr/bin. Maybe /usr/local/bin?
