I'll not give the answer now because I have not decided yet (if it will be closed, free or open source). I don't wanna rush things. And nothing prevents you from continuing. It's not pleasant you spend hours and hours implementing a new feature, and your concurrent copy it easily to his project and not give the credits to the author.
