You might want to look if e.g. ImageMagick is faster for your needs. There's bindings for it in Pascal: http://wiki.lazarus.freepascal.org/PascalMagick Apparently, exactimage was designed to be faster than imagemagick: http://www.exactcode.de/site/open_source/exactimage/ It's apparently GPL. No idea about bindings for that.
