Thank you - having the extensions registered is not a large problem, as I don't 
mind typing in .pp or .pas - I should be able to set the Path - PathExt - and 
associations via a batch file.

The windows installer can register certain pascal extensions with the
textmode IDE.  

For the rest is it the adding to the PATH and the fpc.cfg file.
