When I run compiler/utils/fpc
It reads:
Free Pascal Compiler version 2.0.4 [2007/05/25] for i386
I downloaded the 2.3 snapshot (ot at least that is what I thought).
Try running compiler/ppc386. fpc simply executes the first
ppc<target_arch> it finds in the path afaik.
