This is not true. FPC can usually use inline assembler written for delphi when {$mode delphi} and {$asmmode intel} is used.
It probably is, though when I use these modes, FPC failed to compile TjanSQL class. I couldn't fix it ('cause I ain't an assembler expert). And I also don't want it's solved this way because I need this class able to run on all FPC supported platforms. I prefer platform independen solutions, because that's the power of FPC. If I want it to run only on win32 and intel, I don't need to convert it to FPC/Lazarus. :)
