Hello,

I am fairly new to the Free Pascal community, so I hope this is the right place
to ask. I have been active in open-source development for quite some time,
although my Pascal experience so far has mainly been with Delphi.

I have been reading a little about the FPC 3.2.4 release and noticed that
release branches and RC1 packages already exist. I was wondering what the
current status of the release is and whether there are particular issues that
are preventing further progress.

Are there still technical regressions or other release blockers, or is the main
difficulty currently testing, packaging, available maintainers, or simply the
time needed to coordinate the work?

I am mainly asking because I may be able to help with some testing. I currently
have access to:

Windows x86-64,
Linux x86-64,
macOS on Apple Silicon,
Windows on ARM64,
and possibly a Raspberry Pi for ARM Linux testing.

I am not yet familiar with the Free Pascal release process, so I would first
need some guidance about what would actually be useful and how testing is
normally coordinated.

Is there a list of platforms, tests, or other smaller tasks for which help is
currently needed?

Best regards,

Sven Harazim
