This always seems to work. I assume 'make all' gets translated to a
'make cycle' somehow? Or have I just been lucky for the last 5 years
doing it my way?
This is exactly what I did until my rather old installation of the
<stable FPC release> was not able any more to compile the sources.
But I just did not know how to get the <last stable FPC release> and
install it in some other location than /usr/local/bin/fpc
