This is so, so wrong. It is not a small thing at all. You have redefined the language is a subtle but significant way.

I fear if the patch is accepted into the mainstream FPC compiler people will forget about it and code using the new syntax will its way into the general libraries. I vote to keep the patch OUT of the mainstream FPC compiler, even as an option. Let the people who want it patch their personal copies.

Just to show you I'm really considering this stuff: I like the enhancement to have the compiler count enumerated values and not force to developer to do it. But I don't like the semicolon change.
