This is about what happens when someone does the *bloody simple and obvious* with all the data that Facebook, FourSquare, etc. live of getting people to give out:
http://www.cultofmac.com/157641/this-creepy-app-isnt-just-stalking-women-without-their-knowledge-its-a-wake-up-call-about-facebook-privacy/ Spread that link to the non-geeks you know. (FourSquare have responded with an act of security theatre, killing that app and ignoring that their entire business model relies on people making themselves stalkable.) This is another example of why Wikimedia's privacy policy is not just the right thing to do, but a serious public image advantage for us. - d. _______________________________________________ foundation-l mailing list foundation-l@lists.wikimedia.org Unsubscribe: https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-l
