Forking is hard nasty work. I'd much rather the Wikimedia projects got up to speed. However there are a lot of countervailing factors at work. On the one hand we exclude interesting and significant material, on the other we include childish and trivial material whose only purpose seems to be to offend. In wiki speak "notability" and "no censorship".
