This occurs only in Liberation Mono, and not in e.g. Liberation Sans. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open gedit. 2. Preferences -> Fonts & Colors -> Editor Font -> Liberation Mono Regular 3. Copy and paste ⋢ and ⋣ to observe that they do not render correctly. Actual Results: The glyphs are rendered incorrectly; see https://i.ibb.co/C53FRtm4/image.png.
