I've been working with the .patch files he's been posting to the JIRA issue.
However, I don't want to go with his latest patches because I don't want to
add MXFTEText.css to the mix.

FWIW, I ran the tests/mx folder and got 1575 passes and 180 failures.  This
is with Jose's patches 8, 9, and 17.
