Yes. I'm more familiar with Falcon's approach to databinding than the old 
compiler's approach, so I was in fact describing what Falcon does. I should 
have been clearer.

I think Gordon was referencing the way Falcon is handling binding, Falcon 
doesn't do MXML->AS3 anymore. It compiles MXML striaght to bytecode.
I don't know if that solves any of this, but your example applies to the way 
that mxmlc handles things, right?
