I have an AS3 driver for MongoDB called MongoAS3 on GitHub. Also uses Socket to implement mongo wire protocol and BSON. I'm just not sure it belongs in the Flex SDK. Perhaps if I add some class mapping, but even then does it really belong in the Flex SDK?
