Sorry? Why? I think I can find some examples of Flex 4 beta code, where no namespaces were used... It's from the time when Fx prefix was debated, there were few builds that allowed MXML code w/o any namespaces, like
<Application> <Button>click me</Button> </Application> etc. Best. Oleg
