Which will never be a valid URL, as Apache Flex won't own that URL space.
It doesn't matter if it's a valid URL. The current namespace URL aren't. In my experience most namespace URLs aren't.

http://flex.apache.org/ns/mxml

is better?
Or at least something under flex.apache.org that can eventually point
to a document?
  I don't think it ever needs to point to a document.
