I personally have no experience with Gradle, and there's a significant drawback
- Namely that IntelliJ can run the entire project off of a pom. This isn't the
case with Gradle, as far as I'm aware, so anything other than a maven solution
leaves us having to update IDE dependencies and build script dependencies
independently.
Having it all run off the pom have saved my team days and weeks in the past.
I've heard good things about both Gradle and Rake, but as I say - Not something
I'm familiar with, and until the IDE can run off of the gradle/rake script it
doesn't offer much more than what Ant with Ivy would.
