This would be great content for a separate community list - many of the group managers that have responded have raised this need.

I'm not sure how most Apache groups work, but I was hoping we could keep
most discussions on the list, but keep decisions or important info on the
webpage or wiki.

Summaries are fine if someone volunteers to create them - IMO the
inherently chronological nature of a blog is best suited for that, but
if someone wants to keep a web/wiki page with major milestones that
would be excellent.

Many Apache projects have news pages like
http://sling.apache.org/site/news.html (or even more exciting than
that ;-)
