The build.xml files in the project directories are set up to build with the compiler in the source tree. As soon as the compiler is there you will be able to build individual projects. As noted in the readme build_frameworks.xml builds from the kit structure not the source structure.

It would be a good change to make as the time to compile the entire framework (7 min on my machine) would be much greater than just compiling a single project. Should I raise a JIRA issue for it?
