We have had an overwhelming amount of logo submissions. Now it's time to decide which one will become the new image of Flex, and pave the way for the future of Apache Flex on its new journey. This is the consensus for the following voting process: (1) 5 points can be distributed to logos of your choosing. Please choose at least 2 logos to distribute your points. (2) Everyone is open to vote. The votes will be tallied, and the PPMC members will decide on how to count those votes. (3) To cast your vote, reply to this email and remove all previous text. Assign your points to an ID -- OR -- the Logos shortened Apache URL. (4) If any individual casts multiple votes, the last vote submitted will be counted and any previous votes will be discarded. (5) It's possible we will have multiple rounds of voting. If a single logo receives a majority vote, then that logo will win by default. Otherwise, the top 5 (or 10, depending on how strong votes are?) logos will proceed to a further round of voting. This will be decided after the first round. (6) Each voting period will have a duration of a minimum of 72 hours. (7) PPMC members will make a final decision based on the votes received. Bertrand put together a page to help making this easier. Please use this page at your own discretion, and with CAUTION. This is not the official source for viewing logo submissions. This was put together as a convenience. This page only shows logos that were submitted with a url that points directly to an image, versus those that were submitted using some other method. Official Logo page: http://incubator.apache.org/flex/logo-contest.html Convenience view: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/715349/tmp/flex-logos.html (Use with Caution, unofficial) Finally, an example Vote: ID 01: 2pts ID 02: 2pts ID 03: 1pt -- OR -- http://s.apache.org/af-logo-01: 2pts http://s.apache.org/af-logo-02: 2pts http://s.apache.org/af-logo-03: 1pt Happy voting! And PLEASE remember to remove ALL text in your reply when casting your vote.
