Just some comment for other designers:

I don't think it's a good idea to use ASF branding in the Apache Flex logo, 
just check some examples from other popular projects:

Apache Ant Logo:

Maybe the "Apache" text in the logo should be aligned to ASF branding but i 
didn't found the font description.
