It's not that similar to the VMWare Player logo anymore if you look at the "pure" logo: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:VMware_Player_logo.png The VMWare logo consists of 3 arrows and an arc / corner plus it does not have these unique elements with the 4 arrows pointig outwards and the more subtle 4 arrows pointing to the inside.
