I have over 10,000 WAV files which I decided to convert to flac. These are distributed among hundreds of directories and sub-directories. Since the flac program can't handle wildcards or nested directories, and since converting the files one by one was obviously out of the question, I wrote a program to do it: flacMaker. It steps through a whole structure of folders, reproduces the same structure and converts all the files therein. I’ve done versions for Windows and Linux. I’ll happily make it available to anyone who’s interested – I just need a place to upload it where anyone can access it. Any ideas, anyone?
