You can still get high quality Trinitrons. Try Viewsonic, which is the heir to Nokia's monitor business. I can't stand those two trinitrons lines across the screen, so it wasn't an option for me. Getting a high quality shadow mask is impossible. Hitachi left the tube business, and they were the source for the high end monitors.
I found a used Eizo F930, but it arrived busted thanks to fedex. The Nokia 445X pro I have was used in some GE medical equipment. You might find one being tossed out by a hospital as they upgrade.
