Hi all on the list, Here in Sydney Australia, I have my film processed at 'Vision Graphics' St Leonards, (have shot a few weddings in the past couple of years) They are known as one of the best pro labs in Australia. I asked the lab what percentage of film/digital comes in for weddings, they say its running at about 70%film/30%digital at the moment. They say the film shooters find it's easier and less time consuming to get the right colours/look happening with their FUJU NPC/NPH and Kodak Portras than it is with digital. They mentioned quite a few had tried shooting weddings in digital and had returned to film for this reason. I hope film remains for some time fo the above reasons and I don't really want to retire my EOS 3 bodies and Mamiya 645 kit just yet.

There were TV film crews and several PJ's there. I was really surprised (and sort of pleased) that many of the PJ's were using high end Canon film bodies. I'm told that it's all gone digital, but that's not what I saw today. There were a ton of Nikon D70s and a few D200s and so on, most with kit lenses - but these were being used by the protesters and amateur photogs. A few low end Canon lower end DSLRs too. I'm an amateur and did my shooting with a D70 + 12-24/4 and an FM3a + 105/2.5 AIS loaded with XP2 (I haven't been souping my beloved FP4 and HP5+ for a while due to illness and fatigue).
