Another thread reminded me that I've got a film strip feeder that keeps malfunctioning. It draws the strip in a ways and then spits it out again. Once in a while it works. I've done all the obvious things, cleaning it, cleaning its contacts, upgrading the firmware, rebooting the PC, etc. Does anyone know if there's some common failure mode that can be fixed with spit and baling wire, or anything short of returning it to Nikon?
