The Epson has not gotten good reviews, but I know that wasn't your point.
I've been a photographer on the silver side for decades, but lost my B&W and
Color processing facilities when I closed my business. Suddenly it just
wasn't practical to take one or two frames for a project, and have them
commercially processed. I bought an inexpensive digital point & shoot (a
Polaroid PDC640) to see if I could live with digital, and then a Nikon
CoolPix 5700 and an Epson 2200 printer. I'm very happy with the output of
the Nikon and the Epson, but agree with you (Arthur) that a part-time
photographer who shoots 8-10 rolls once a year will be happier with film. I
don't think that this will change for a long time.
