So far, the only reference to the ss4000 Plus on dealers' websites is just "coming soon" with a guestimate of cost between UKP 900-1000 (inc VAT). I did wonder that but if I leave all the cables plugged in and don't move it after it settles down, I can power down both it and the PC and it works fine when they are powered up again. Well the Microtek comes as standard (in the UK at least) with a 2 year warranty, which isn't a bad thing to have!
