[filmscanners] I hardly dare mention Hard Drives

But... some of you demonstrated recently you knew a lot about them, and
I have a (scanner related) problem. I bought a Maxtor 4D040H hard drive
as a slave to my main hard drive so as to have a giant scratch disk for
Photoshop. Trouble is, the wretched thing reports under 2Gig file space
while 38 Gb goes unallocated. Now if one of you experts would like to
tell me off list what you think I've done wrong I'd be eternally
grateful. And my scanning will improve ;-)
