Ed is this the case for only that model of Minolta scanner or for all the models of Minolta scanners that you support?
As an aside, I commend you on your software. I was unable to get Windows XP to recognize a Umax PowerLook II flatbed scanner connected to an Adaptec 2906 SCSI card (first in a daisy chain with a Minolta Scan Multi and a SyQuest EZ135 removable drive also on the chain) under the MagicScan software furnished by Umax or Jetsoft's Art-Scan although the set up worked under Win 98 and the SCSI card and other two devices are being recognized by Windows XP. But on a lark, I downloaded a demo of your software and found that it worked well with the Windows XP setup and the Umax scanner was recognized and functioning. I want to try and see if I can force XP to recognize the scanner using the MagicScan software; if I can't get it to do so, you will have a new client (actually, you may get me as a customer anyway). I do not know what you did that allows the XP operating system to recognize the scanner and permits the scanner to function that none of the others seem to be willing to do or have the knowledge to do (i.e., Umax, Microsoft, Adaptec, Jetsoft, etc.). My hat is off to you. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, January 12, 2002 11:18 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [filmscanners] Re: Defective Minolta Dimage Scan Elite II: update :-(( In a message dated 1/12/2002 7:34:24 PM EST, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: > Incidentally, it doesn't look like the current support for the scanner in > the latest version of Vuescan incorporates calibration routines. Minolta mailed me a loaner Scan Elite II on Friday. I expect to get this working by next Friday.
