  "Real World PS" would imply something differently.  Blatner & Fraser
separate needs for sharpening into 2 separate phases ... early and late.  A
need for a early sharpening might be because the input device inherently
softens the acquisition.  Whereas the need for "late" sharpening is as a
final step for countering some of the effects (such as resampling) you used
during the editing.  If Silverfast's sharpening is better is debateable, but
you might assume it is a different algorithm especially adapted to scanners.
