Hi David,

The error message you described occurs in the following conditions:
1) you have an advanced version and you're trying to do separations,
2) your scanner is not supported in the version you use
3) Images are opened and saved in Photoshop (or other image editing
software) prior to being processed.
4) Incompatible versions of PhotoPerfect and PolaColor Insight.

I believe your problem may be due to either item 2 or item 4. Please verify
that you are using PhotoPerfect version 4.3 or newer. PhotoPerfect version
less than 4.3 will NOT work with the SprintScan 4000. If you are using
version 4.3, I would recommend upgrading to version 4.4 as significant
integration progress has been making the solution much more robust.

If you were shipped a version less than 4.3 with your SS4000, than I have to
apologize for the inconvenience. This may be due to inventory issues with
Polaroid and they are the ones who should upgrade your version.

As for item 4, Polaroid has authorized us to burn PolaColor Insight on our
PhotoPerfect CDs. Each version of PhotoPerfect is shipped with the "ideal"
version of PolaColor Insight to go along with it. As such, I recommend that
you look at your PhotoPerfect CD and check which version of PCI is on it
then make sure you install THAT version of PCI, even if it's older than the
version you are currently using. If you don't have PCI on your PhotoPerfect
CD, that means your CD is older than version 4.3.
