I appreciate the suggestion, but I fear this is no different than building 
FFmpeg myself from master, correct? This is good information, I wasn't aware 
that this was possible with FFmpeg via Homebrew. Would've saved me from 
building it myself had I known though.

But the snippet I posted in the original message is via FFmpeg built from 
master, just as the HEAD version via Homebrew would be (from my understanding).

1. Issue is present on v7.1.1 installed with Homebrew.
2. Issue is present on latest possible version built from source/master myself.

I made sure to try both "stable" & "latest", as I assumed I would be challenged 
if I had only tried one or the other.
