I'm sorry this mail is going to be rather long. However, I would
like to explain my opinion on this matter in detail.
I would also like to kindly ask everybody to calm down and refrain
from further ad-hominem attacks, because these are not going to make
things better for anybody.
Thank you for giving of your time and expertise Oliver. Very nicely done.
Since there is no one currently holding this position, I will deem myself
supreme ffmpeg-user benevolent dictator of Awards Acknowledgements
and deem "Oliver Fromme" the 'FFmpeg Explainer in Chief' for the month
of Aug-2024 and will retain that Title in perpetuity or until I deem
otherwise.
Let's give a raucous round of well deserved appreciation to Oliver.
P.S. The term 'Explainer in Chief' did not originate with me and the
(I believe) original use may be worth seeking out.
