Here it is not about deleting the *input* file, it's about deleting the *output* file.

Anyway, it makes me wonder, how ffmpeg CLI could delete input files.
Option `-y` only deletes output files, AFAIK

it makes me wonder why you don't realize that what you are respondig for was about bash "ffmpeg...; some command" versus "ffmpeg && some command"
