Please use https://git.khirnov.net/libav.git/log/?h=ambisonic2 as reference: it contains several improvements from the last iteration, such as a fully functional backward compatibility layer, and a reworked implementation of ambisonics, and contains a fully rebased tree with all ffmpeg formats and codecs.
