Thanks (and also thanks to Michael). When something has been badly designed for a long time (and this particular issue predates FFmpeg: the Unix socket API itself is bad, FFmpeg only followed by default), it will inevitably have spread on many places. Finding and fixing each of them will take time, but most of them are small and easily fixed bugs. Regards, -- Nicolas George
