Hi, last weekend, Carl Eugen, Rostislav and myself were attending the FOSDEM 2018 in Brussels, Belgium [1].
There were tons of interesting talks given during the weekend. Most interesting for us were of course the talks that had been given in the Open Media track, one of them by Rostislav. See [2] for the complete list and possible download of slides/video. Unfortunately, I could not be there for the FFmpeg talk given by Jess Portnoy myself but I think Carl Eugen might comment on that. I also took some of the FFmpeg T-Shirts of every size with me and gave some of them away to people I talked to during the event, including a fellow developer from times before I joined FFmpeg and the Airbnb host for using FFmpeg CLI in his everyday PhD-work like myself some time ago. And of course we had a lot of meet, greet, eat & drink with our known and yet unknown fellows from many of the other open-source multimedia projects which made this weekend just an awesome event!
