Shouldn't we generally recommend people use the new NVDEC implementation instead? It already has all these features and more. :)
There are still features missing from nvdec which will take a while to implement, if it's possible at all. Like deinterlacing/cropping.
Also, cuviddec is still notably faster than nvdec in sw frame output mode.
