I do not think that is necessary or even desirable. Libopenmpt and libmodplug should be able to co-exist just fine. Having both of them available gives the user the choice which one to use. After all, there are formats that libmodplug can load but libopenmpt cannot (like MIDI or ABC (they are no real module formats though)), as well as formats that libopenmpt can load and libmodplug cannot (like e.g. MO3).
