Hi all If people want ffserver to continue to exist in a functional form then ffserver needs a new maintainer or developers taking care of it / giving it some love. There are a few known bugs in it like code depending on sizeof(AVStream) and general a little too much direct access into APIs these things will cause ffserver to frequently break if APIs change even slightly. I dont think this is a major amount of work, at least not as long as one doesnt get onto the path of rewriting things to be "clean" in a philosophical sense but just "clean" in a working and maintainable sense.
If noone picks up ffserver and "helps it into the year 2016" then eventually ffserver will just stop working when its way of using the APIs drifted too much from the changing reality. And once it totally doesnt work anymore, fixing it could be harder ... -- Michael GnuPG fingerprint: 9FF2128B147EF6730BADF133611EC787040B0FAB The greatest way to live with honor in this world is to be what we pretend to be. -- Socrates
